William Neilson BSc CEng MICE |

|
William Neilson graduated in Civil Engineering in 1985. He subsequently trained and worked in a multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering environment. He has a wide range of experience within the industry including design of industrial, commercial, sports stadium retail and residential developments. He also has extensive experience in building repair works. He is particularly interested in innovative engineering and was for eight years, a visiting tutor at Glasgow University Mackintosh School of Architecture where he worked with final year students developing the structural aspect of their projects. He has played a substantial role in the successful development of the business into one of the UKs most energetic and enthusiastic civil and structural engineering consultancies. |

Sandy Porter BSc (Hons) CEng MICE |
||
|
Sandy Porter has over 30 years experience in the consultancy side of the construction industry, both in the UK and overseas. He spent a year in Iran in the late 1970s and returned again to the Middle East between 1993 and 1997. Sandy joined Woolgar Hunter in early 1998. Sandy has wide experience in commercial, leisure and industrial projects, with particular interests in lightweight structures and historic buildings. He also has experience in site assessment and infrastructure works, as well as telecommunications tower design and working in railway environments. Sandy is also responsible for the in-house training of Woolgar Hunters Graduate Engineers, as well as in-house technical reviews and audits. |

Jim Adams |

|
Jim graduated from Edinburgh University in 1982 and has since worked on a variety of projects within the field of Engineering Consultancy, both in the UK ad overseas. In 1997, he founded the Adams Partnership which merged with Woolgar Hunter in 2005. Jim has extensive experience of residential, commercial and industrial developments and has a particular in terms in the demolition of structures both by traditional methods and by the use of explosives. |

Russell Blackhall BSc (Hons) MSc FGS |
||
|
Russell Blackhall graduated in civil engineering from Heriot-Watt University in 1985. He subsequently gained experience working for both Consulting and Contracting organisations on a variety of commercial, leisure, industrial, retail and residential projects. A period of further study in Geotechnical Engineering has enabled Russell to develop his particular interest in earthworks and foundation design. He currently assists the MEng programme at Heriot-Watt University. |

Malcolm Buchanan MEng CEng MIStructE |

|
Malcolm graduated from Leeds University in 1990 in Civil Engineering with Architecture and has subsequently gained experience within a multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering environment. He has worked on a wide range of building projects including leisure, healthcare, industrial and retail development. He has a detailed knowledge of modern construction techniques and innovative design solutions. In addition Malcolm is currently a part-time tutor with the Mackintosh School of Architecture working with 3rd year Architecture Students and is a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers Scottish Branch Committee. |
