As part of our commission Woolgar Hunter were requested to provide engineering support in respect to an updated masterplan, along with site development design for infrastructure enabling works cost planning.
This support included the provision of a geo-environmental desk study along with internal road design, earthworks strategy (including platforming levels and volumes), site wide drainage design and associated modelling.
The scheme was designed to take cognisance of the existing topography to minimise the extent of earthworks across the site and incorporate existing features into the wider SUDs strategy. The design also sought to respect the rural nature of the development and maintain key corridors for wildlife movement along existing watercourses minimising and works around these features.
