Having provided civil, structural and geo-environmental services on the development of the Edinburgh Park masterplan, Woolgar Hunter engineered the first building completed on the site. The first of seven planned commercial developments, 1 New Park Square is an 80,000ft2 five-storey office building. The project also involved a multi-storey carpark and extensive external works an infrastructure development to prepare the site for the new building.

Engineering Excellence
We devised a concrete frame structure, which served both the building services strategy and AHMM Architect’s aesthetic view for the project. Much of the concrete frame is exposed internally, allowing the structural engineering elements to shine as intrinsic to the look and feel of the building. The ground floor is multi-use, including a conference room, coffee shop and a bar and performance space serving both tenants and the wider Edinburgh Park community.
