Woolgar Hunter are engaged by Parabola as Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental Engineers on the development of this 17.4 hectare site masterplan on the western edge of Edinburgh. This has involved input to achieving detailed planning permission for the entire masterplan.
Engineering Excellence
Involved from the outset of the project, our engineers have designed a range of structures on the site today, with work still ongoing. The first development to be completed as part of the masterplan is 1 New Park Square, an 80,000ft² five storey commercial office building, along with an associated multi-storey car park and extensive external works and infrastructure.
Our civils team devised the levels and drainage strategy for the site, ensuring that the whole masterplan feels like a cohesive whole even as it is built in stages. Our focus on biodiversity, SuDS, active travel routes and high quality public realm spaces has ensured a masterplan site designed for the people who use it and with a strong connection to its green surroundings.
