This major development for the University of St Andrews in partnership with Campus Living Villages established new student accommodation across two sites. The existing Agnes Blackadder Hall and University Hall sites contained gap sites abutting existing residence buildings within the North Haugh Campus. Whitehorn and Powell Halls were built on these gap sites and deliver nearly 400 student bedrooms across two sensitively designed buildings – marking the largest accommodation expansion by the University of St Andrews in over a decade.

Engineering Excellence
The designs responded carefully to planning considerations and practical considerations. Existing drainage systems had to be worked around, while a structural solution had to be developed to allow a fast-track construction programme to ensure opening on time and minimise disruption to neighbouring residents.
