Engineering Excellence
Structurally, the works involved replacement of existing floors at new levels along with alterations to stair, lift and service core structures. The works required sensitivity to the existing historic building along with close consideration of buildability and logistical factors, as the works were undertaken within a live building.
Woolgar Hunter also provided engineering services on Block 14, this project was undertaken in parallel to the Blocks project above. It involved a new mezzanine support frames, floor infills and various other builders work associated with the building refurbishment. The introduction of mobile racking required alterations and remedial works to existing floor slabs to provide the required supports and tolerances.
