Completed in 2000, this was a major commission by the Glasgow artist George Wiley, to create a public clock and centrepiece for Concert Square in Cowcaddens.
Engineering Excellence
Woolgar Hunter’s role was to validate the design with Glasgow City Council and provide the ‘comfort factor’ necessary for such an unusual structure. Worst case loading scenario: 4 rugby players on the projecting rear leg! We loved seeing this come to life and that it has become an icon in our City Centre.
