Graduate Civil & Structural Engineers - Glasgow & Manchester
As part of our continued growth we will be recruiting fresh Civil and Structural Engineering graduates in 2023, to join our teams in Glasgow and Manchester.
The successful candidates will be passionate, talented, and enthusiastic. They will a solid educational background, qualified to MEng level. They will be keen to be part of an enthusiastic and active team who are driven by quality design, with a focus on material and embodied carbon efficiency.
Woolgar Hunter will provide opportunity to work on a broad range of project types and scales, the majority of which are relatively local and likely to progress to construction stage, therefore allowing excellent experience. We work within a friendly studio environment that is both creative, passionate, practical, and design focused in its approach. The successful graduates will work closely with a professional and experienced team of senior engineers, engineers and technicians.
We will encourage and expect the candidate to work toward chartership and would provide support through our Training Agreement and through mentoring. As part of the package, dedicated
‘Development Time’ will be granted to help enable professional development and progression to chartership.

As part of our continued success, we are seeing a significant growth in our Civil Engineering/Development Infrastructure workload and are looking to expand this team, which currently comprises 12 technical staff across all levels. The project growth is evolving both in Scotland and the north of England, across various sectors, including industrial & logistics, commercial offices, residential and educational campuses.
We are therefore looking to appoint a passionate, talented, and enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer, to join our teams in Glasgow and Manchester, to work on a range of live projects. The successful candidates will ideally have 8+ years of engineering design experience and be a chartered Engineer. Candidates who are still working toward chartership will also be considered based on their experience. Woolgar Hunter operate an accredited ICE training scheme and support our staff to chartership. Candidates will be technically proficient, with a solid educational background, and keen to play a key role as part of an enthusiastic and active team who are driven by quality design, with a focus on sustainable engineering, and a commitment to successful project delivery. Candidates should be proficient in roads, drainage, and earthworks design, ideally utilising CIVILS 3D and Microdrainage software.
